First Home Buyer

Purchasing your first home is a major decision in your life.

It’s a process you have never been through before, so you’re not sure what to expect or how it all works. That’s why using a broker is so important, so we can help guide you through the process. There are a lot of things to get your head around.

There is the loan application process, things like product features and interest rates, repayment types and lenders mortgage insurance. There is the legal side of buying property, which includes stamp duty and registration. Also, as a first home buyer you may be eligible for the various State and Federal government incentives. We can help you grasp these facts and make the whole process that little bit easier.

We’ve tried to make the process as simple and user-friendly as possible. We start by giving you access to the Client Centre where you can complete a questionnaire which will tease out your goals and objectives, and what you want to achieve. You’ll also be able to upload supporting information that we will need to provide to the Banks. These include your current payslips, bank statements and identification. Once we have all this information we can complete a credit proposal for you. This is a document that outlines the various options available, and why we think one Bank may be preferred over another. If your happy with the selection then we can apply for your home loan with the bank and secure you a pre-approval. A pre-approval lets you know how much you can borrow, so when you start your property search, you know with confidence that the bank will provide you with the funds you need to secure the property.

We have access to over 30 banks from the big 4, to regional and smaller banks and non-bank lenders. Each bank has their own policy and products, and this will help guide our decision making about which one is best for you. Come on the journey with us and we can help you secure your first property, just like we have done for hundreds of first home buyers.
